Full-time opportunities generally range from $200,000 - $240,000/year in compensation. —------- We’re looking to build out our roster of high-caliber privacy counsel for full time and part time roles. In particular, we’re seeking individuals with the following experience: What You’ll Do: Manage privacy program compliance, including data subject rights requests, data inventory, records retention, privacy by designCounsel and advise on data protection provisions in commercial contracts, including updating templates and negotiating data processing addendums and business associate agreementsSupport internal security teams on incident response, threat detection, containment, and mitigationDrive awareness on data privacy and security issues, including development of training, policies, and guidelines that help business stakeholders spot and address data security and privacy issues as they emergeTrack, plan for, and monitor local, national and global laws impacting privacy matters Who You Are: Experienced legal professional with a track record of supporting in-house teams in a privacy counsel roleHighly organized and motivatedAble to work well both as part of a team and independently, with a proven track record of success working with senior managementPositive mentality and willingness to tackle new and ever-changing business needs Required Qualifications: J.D. from an accredited law schoolActive admission to the bar of any state5+ years of directly related legal experienceSolid understanding of major privacy laws like GDPR, CCPA, CPRA, and/or PIPEDA Preferred Qualifications: Experience representing companies in the technology sectorCIPP/US certification preferredIn-house experience in addition to strong law firm experience
