SUMMARY

Provide administrative support and telephone coverage for our lawyers and ensure the smooth functioning of our legal operations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.  Other duties may be assigned.

  • Provides general administrative support for lawyers which may include drafting, editing, and formatting correspondence and legal documents.
  • Organizes and maintains file systems, arranges meetings, coordinates conferences and travel plans, and handles billing and expense reimbursement.
  • Establishes and maintains effective communication via telephone and in person with lawyers, clients, and other staff within the Firm.
  • Maintains daily and advance calendars for lawyers.
  • Safeguards the Firm's confidential information.
  • Handles confidential matters as directed.
  • Performs all other clerical tasks as required.

In addition, responsibilities related to maintaining Firm and client information are to be adhered to by all employees. This includes complying with the Firm’s information security policies, protecting firm assets from unauthorized access, disclosure, modification, destruction or interference, and reporting security events or potential events or other security risks to management.

QUALIFICATIONS 

Strong spelling, grammar and communication skills are needed as well as document production and multitasking skills.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

High school diploma required.  Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred.

COMPENSATION

The base salary range offered for this role will be between $60,000 and $90,000.  When determining a candidate’s compensation offer, elements unique to each person are taken into consideration including but not limited to skill set, experience level, performance, professional certifications, degrees and location, as well as the needs of the Firm.
