PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION
Provides detailed administrative and systems support to the Claims Department. Performs a multitude of duties and varied special projects to support both department and business unit’s goals with minimum supervision. Participate in the processing and handling of property damage and bodily injury claims. Coordinate the billing and collection process for assigned Company damage claims. Note: Position may be required to work extended hours, including 24x7 coverage for storms or other energy delivery emergencies.
Primary DutiesPRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Coordinate the billing and collection for cases involving damage to Company property. Obtain information essential for case disposition, use phone and email to collect bills, participate in settlement negotiations and obtaining releases, monitor case status and move file to Claims Legal when appropriate.
- Provide general office and administrative support to the Claims group including entering claims into department database, scanning/copying claim supports, phone calls as needed related to claims, file maintenance, opening mail, handling outgoing Fed/Ex, reconciling travel, fleet and PPE costs for department and other office support functions. Work in high volume, fast paced department.
- Interface with other departments at PECO including Audit Services, Regulatory, Customer Care and Legal. Train and mentor new and existing Claims employees.
- Handle confidential data and matters in a professional and efficient manner.
JOB SCOPE
- Coordinate billing and collection of Company damage cases and processing of property damage cases.
- Provide a high-level administrative support to include conducting research, preparing statistical reports, handling information requests and performing Administrative Assistant functions.
- Enter data into the accounting software system and perform basic accounting functions.
- Coordinate and schedule interviews and meetings.
- Compose and prepare correspondence and reports.
Perform timekeeper / Payroll duties for the department.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- High School Graduate or equivalent and 5-7 years of related experience. Knowledge of Claims handling process and systems. Proficient in computerized Information Systems
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- sociates or Bachelors degree. AS8, Hyperion or Riskmaster experience. Litigation/Legal support and/or collections experience.
- Annual salary will vary based on a candidate's skills, qualifications, experience, and other factors:USD $64,800.00/Yr. - USD $97,200.00/Yr.
