What We Do

The Epic Trust and Safety team provides a safer experience for Epic users. We work across multiple products and services to improve technology and craft transparent policies so our players and users can have positive experiences on our platforms.

What You'll Do

We are looking for an experienced senior policy manager to support the Policy function of Epic’s Trust and Safety team. This person will support internal and external policy development for our global moderation efforts across our products. You will draft policies and support executive alignment on internal and external policies for our enforcement and content moderation teams to apply effectively and equitably. Focusing on enforceability when developing policy is key!

In this role, you will

Support high-priority escalations or consultations, making sound, reasoned judgments even in high-visibility or urgent situations, and maintaining consistent and concise communication with relevant stakeholdersHelp solve complex, nuanced policy challenges using research, industry standards, prior industry experience, and/or data where relevantStay up-to-date on current and emerging policy trends, resources, and mitigations, especially within the gaming industryCollaborate closely with colleagues in trust and safety, legal, public policy, product, and engineering to gather and consolidate insights, input, and expertise into policy development or policy enforcement decisions; Partner with enablement to scale policies across the ecosystemRespectfully share opinions in a manner that respects past decisions and allows for new perspectives, and is inclusive of diverse viewpointsBecome a trusted partner for Epic product and cross-functional teams and be an internal expert for products across our ecosystem, such as individual games or specific policiesEngage in a collaborative, supportive, and fun work environment that values open and direct communication and knowledge-sharing

What We're Looking For

5+ years of experience working in Trust & Safety, with the majority of that experience in Policy rolesHandling high priority on-call escalations outside of normal business hoursExperience developing policy for products with user-generated content and 100M+ users; experience in gaming is a plusSelf-motivated and able to independently drive results Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities, especially in high-pressure situations, while demonstrating composure and flexibilitySomeone who has a strong bias for action and is always driving improvements and optimization in teams, tools, processes, and policiesA great teammate who helps maintain and nurture team cultureAble to work in a dynamic environment and successfully manage multiple concurrent projectsPlease update the title to - Senior Policy Manager, Trust & Safety

This role is open to multiple locations across the US (including CA, NYC, & WA).

Pay Transparency Information

The expected annual base pay range(s) for this position are detailed below. Each base pay range is relevant only for individuals who are residents of or will be expected to work within the specified locale. Compensation varies based on a variety of factors, which include (but aren’t limited to) things such as skills and competencies, qualifications, knowledge, and experience. In addition to base pay, most employees are eligible to participate in Epic’s generous benefit plans and discretionary incentive programs (subject to the terms of those plans or programs).

New York City Base Pay Range

$151,565—$222,295 USD

California Base Pay Range

$133,376—$195,619 USD

Washington Base Pay Range

$127,314—$186,727 USD
