Position Summary:The General Counsel is expected to be the primary in-house legal expert for a broad range of matters, including but not limited to, commercial contracts, business development agreements, capital market compliance, corporate governance, litigation, and intellectual property management. Success in the role is supported by existing corporate infrastructure and access to external legal counsel. The role is cross-functional and global, with independent reporting responsibility to the CEO. Essential Responsibilities:Legal advisor to the CEO, Board of Directors, and company managementDrafting and review of commercial and business agreementsOversee compliance with healthcare, employment, business, and securities regulationDevelop overall legal strategy and infrastructureManage interactions with outside counselManage litigation strategy Required/ Desired Qualifications:J.D. with excellent academic credentials highly preferred4+ years of legal experience in-house or in a relevant firm highly preferredRelevant legal experience in healthcare, technology, IP, global business, and public companies preferredAbility to write clearly and concisely, detail oriented, reliable, responsive, independently drivenLegally authorized to work in the United States Work Conditions:This role is preferably an in-office position at Stereotaxis’ headquarters in St. Louis, but remote work will be considered for suitable candidates.
