Roblox is looking for an expert Employment Counsel to join our Legal team. In this role, you will advise the People and Employee Relations teams and other business leaders to ensure ongoing risk management and compliance and support for employment disputes. You will report to our Senior Employment Counsel.

You Will

Provide advice and counsel to the Company on employment related issues, including but not limited to recruiting, wage & hour compliance, contract or contingent workers, employee relations, performance management, discipline and terminations, workplace investigations, reasonable accommodations, leave of absence, work permits, and discriminationSupport employee escalations, employment demand letters, and employment litigation matters including discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and wrongful termination disputesAssist with employment investigationsOversee the drafting and negotiation of offer letters and employment-related agreements, including severance, separation, restrictive covenant, retention, and other employment-related agreementsDesign and drive internal People team auditsAssist the People teams in developing and implementing policies, procedures and training programs to drive compliance with employment lawsDraft employee-facing policies, handbooks, and other resourcesMonitor new laws, regulations and decisions affecting the substantive legal areas above and provide strategic, preventative advice to the People teams and cross functional partnersIdentify and implement process improvements that help the legal team, the People teams and the business scale for growthSupport Legal department and team related projects, as assigned

You Have

6+ years of employment law experience, including employment litigation experiencePast law firm experienceTechnology company experience preferredExperience in a fast-paced and dynamic organization preferredMember in good standing of the California Bar

For roles that are based at our headquarters in San Mateo, CA: The starting base pay for this position is as shown below. The actual base pay is dependent upon a variety of job-related factors such as professional background, training, work experience, location, business needs and market demand. Therefore, in some circumstances, the actual salary could fall outside of this expected range. This pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. All full-time employees are also eligible for equity compensation and for benefits.

Annual Salary Range

$226,470—$283,220 USD

Roles that are based in our San Mateo, CA Headquarters are in-office Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, with optional in-office on Monday and Friday (unless otherwise noted).
