THE JOB:

The Director of Compliance oversees the day‐to‐day administration of the MGM Resorts International Compliance Plan (the "Plan"). This includes managing, monitoring, and implementing procedures required by the Plan and any other procedures devised by the Compliance Committee (the "Committee"). The Director of Compliance will lead and direct a team to support the Company's Compliance Program and will ensure all regulatory requirements and compliance policies are adhered to. This role serves as a subject matter expert, evaluates and reports the results of compliance/ethics efforts to the SVP & Chief Compliance Officer, Vice President of Gaming Compliance, and members of the Committee.


THE DAY-TO-DAY:

  • Strategic partner for Corporate Centers of Excellence, Corporate Legal, Corporate Security, and Operations Teams to provide compliance expertise, training, and escalation where necessary.

  • Review and prepare all compliance reports and prepare materials for the Committee in advance of the Committee meeting. Conducts follow‐up and ensures all Committee materials and exhibits, including minutes, are filed with the regulatory authorities in each jurisdiction in which the Company operates. Manages day‐to‐day operation of the Compliance Program.

  • Oversees the Company’s anti‐human trafficking (AHT) efforts and manages the AHT Task Force.

  • Reviews all regulatory filings required by the Company and timely submits filings to the gaming regulatory authorities (e.g. Foreign  Gaming, Macau Junket Report, Key Employee Report, Officers & Directors Report, Gambling Device Registration, etc.)

  • Assists in monitoring compliance with the Company's Code of Conduct and Ethics and Conflict of Interest Policy ("Code"), including annual training. Assists in the preparation, updating, and distribution of compliance policies required by the Code.

  • Oversees the Company's compliance with club venue rules and regulations, including assisting with the development of policies and procedures for new venues.

  • Reviews and coordinates distribution and follow‐up for any independent shopper reports. Collaborates with gaming regulatory authorities.

 

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience

  • 4+ Years of Prior Relevant Experience in compliance, considerable regulatory, legal, accounting, audit, and/or compliance-related leadership experience; or a law degree from an ABA-accredited institution in lieu of experience

  • A proactive management style that looks beyond problems and current practices to develop solutions to maximize effectiveness Communicate effectively with all levels of staff and management across different divisions and departments

  • Remain informed of any applicable laws and regulations that might affect the organization's policies and implement necessary changes.
