The Glassdoor Legal Team is devoted to leading projects that support Glassdoor's mission and growth. Members of the Legal Team work closely with multiple departments within the organization, such as Product, Engineering, Marketing, Procurement, Finance, People, Places and Experiences (PPE), IT/Security, Trust & Safety, and Go-to-Market to review legal issues and implement decisions in order to get internal teams the tools and products they need to get their job done, while mitigating risk and exposure to the company. We are seeking a Legal Operations Analyst to join our Legal team to work closely with legal colleagues and business teams to help mitigate risk and exposure to the company. The ideal candidate is confident, communicative, and motivated, with strong communication and interpersonal skills, and will be able to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail.

Keys to success:

  • Building relationships with Trust & Safety and other key business teams
  • Responding to internal and external legal inquiries regarding Glassdoor products, legal compliance, and the business
  • Proactively reviewing Glassdoor's products, policies, and features for legal compliance, quality and accuracy
  • Supporting and collaborating with in-house attorneys for various legal needs and to help produce legal guidance

What You'll Do:

This role's duties will consist of assisting in-house counsel to receive and track requests from Glassdoor's internal business partners and external third parties, while working collaboratively with those parties to address and/or resolve those requests and any issues to help the Legal team more generally to manage its workload.. This is a position that will require a broad skill set and the ability to learn new subject matter and acquire new skills on an ongoing basis. Some of the things you'll be doing are:

  • Maintain repository of Legal resources and process documentation
  • Assist with product audits and recommendations
  • Recommend and implement process improvements within the Legal team and with other departments
  • Support legal trainings for business teams (compliance, business processes, internal policies, etc.)
  • Work closely with litigation counsel(internal and external) to track and assist in ongoing matters (calendaring, discovery responses, investigation, etc.)
  • Process data information requests to ensure compliance with data protection laws
  • Lead meetings to discuss issues, present investigations, and assist in determining solutions
  • Assist with corporate governance activities, such as filings, minutes, resolutions, etc.
  • Collect data via internal classifications to analyze and identify trends in complaints and litigations, and propose potential product or process solutions
  • Perform ad hoc administrative tasks as necessary to assist in the day-to-day operation of the Legal team

  • PREFERRED BUT NOT REQUIRED:
    • Previous work experience in general litigation and/or regulatory investigations
    • Previous experience assisting in e-discovery, investigations, witness interviews/preparation on sensitive topics
    • Previous work experience with corporate governance
    • Previous work experience in vendor contract negotiation/purchasing

Compensation and benefits

Base salary range*: $80,074 - $106,348

_Glassdoor base salaries are targeted to the market 75th percentile for technical roles and the 65th percentile for non-technical roles. In other words, 65-75% of comparable organizations in our industry will pay less.

_ Annual bonus target: 10%

  • Bonuses are paid in 6-month intervals, aligning with bi-annual performance reviews

  • Restricted Stock Units (RSU) are awarded at hire and may be refreshed annually. Additionally, as a pay-for-performance company, there are additional RSU grant awards for the very top performers.
