You contribute to our success. Every role has an impact on our patients’ lives and you have the opportunity to make a difference. We are looking for a dedicated Managing Counsel like you to lead our Managed Care Litigation team.
The Managing Counsel for Managed Care Litigation is a leadership role within HCA’s 270-person global legal department, reporting directly to the Vice President of Litigation. The position primarily acts as the leader of a high-performing team of lawyers and staff members who handle managed care disputes for HCA that require litigation or arbitration. In this context, managed care involves the relationship between healthcare providers, such as hospitals or physicians, and payers, such as commercial insurers. The position is also a strategic partner to the Vice President of Litigation, assisting with complex managed care disputes and a broad range of litigation, investigative and administrative matters. The position requires strong leadership and organizational skills, as well as strong legal skills, judgment and acumen. The position also requires frequent communication and interaction with business and operational leaders outside of the legal department, as well as the creativity and adaptability to handle a significant and dynamic docket of litigation and arbitration. Finally, the position requires the creation and maintenance of good working relationships with outside counsel.
