How You Will Create An Impact

The primary responsibility of the Product Compliance Director is to ensure AIG’s policy issuance platforms remain compliant with various rating agency, independent rating bureau adoptions and bureau-related independent filings for multiple lines of business. This includes Forms (forms implementation by business line, Rates (loss costs or other rate calculation methods) and Rules (form and rate).

The Product Compliance Director, North America, General Insurance, will report directly to the Product Officer, North America, General Insurance.

Key Accountabilities And Responsibilities

This role works with various teams and stakeholders in IT, Legal, Operations and Underwriting in North America, including Canada with a priority and focus on Casualty business lines such as Commercial Auto and General Liability.

Responsibilities

  • Regulatory compliance management and implementation for all rating agency and independent bureau adoptions and AIG independent filings done for AIG's North America writing companies. This includes rules, rates, and forms for multiple internal and external policy issuance systems (i.e., eUPS, Duck Creek, PPS, AIWCS, and Majesco Policy).

  • User Acceptance Testing for all implementations, reporting defects for correction and then re-testing to ensure proper corrections were made

    • Oversee on-shore and off-shore resources to help coordinate various tasks and priorities
    • Work with Forms Technical Support and IT Teams to ensure proper implementation for multiple lines of business of all AIG proprietary forms (dec pages, forms, endorsements, and notices) and all Bureau forms in current platforms.
  • This role also helps provide accurate information and guidance for those policy issuance systems outside current span of control (external business partner systems)

    • Develop a regulatory and compliance culture to ensure AIG stakeholders understand the risks we assume

What We Are Looking For

  • At least 10 years of insurance leadership and US Liability experience

    • A deep understanding of product development, portfolio management and profitability drivers
    • Proven leadership skills in developing vision and purpose, driving for results and leading effective teams
    • Established strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
    • Skilled leader of change; versatile, client focused, result oriented
    • Demonstrated business savvy, analytical and quantitative skills
    • Expert technical underwriting background in the related Casualty products (Auto, Excess, GL, Workers Compensation)
  • Strong problem solving and conflict resolution experience
