Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Palo Alto Technical Specialist to support the migration process from Cisco ASA firewalls to Palo Alto firewalls. This position is limited to candidates residing in Raleigh, NC, and offers a competitive W-2 rate of up to $60/hour.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with the migration of Cisco ASA firewalls to Palo Alto firewalls.
• Translate ASA configurations to fit the Palo Alto ecosystem.
• Provide design and implementation support for applications integrating with statewide systems.
• Identify enhancements to project standards to ensure high-quality deliverables.
• Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in niche technical areas.

Required Skills

• Advanced understanding of Cisco ASA and Palo Alto firewalls.
• In-depth knowledge of Palo Alto Panorama and the Expedition conversion tool.
• Strong grasp of application development and architecture principles.
• Ability to effectively communicate technical and functional concepts.
• Proven experience identifying best practices and making improvements to project standards.
