  • Job Description: Seeking a full-time contractor for a Legal Administrative Assistant role. This position is hybrid with 2 days/week in person at the San Francisco, CA office; the rest of the week is remote. As a member of the IP Operations team, you will handle tasks that support U.S. and foreign patent filing and prosecution, collaborating with a large team including in-house attorneys, patent agents, patent paralegals, and inventors. You must be comfortable with multi-tasking and prioritization in a fast-paced environment with close attention to detail, accuracy, and timeliness. Role has possibility to become permanent, based on business needs and candidate’s talent, teamwork, and work ethic. Essential Job Functions
  • * Provide administrative support, such as making photocopies, sorting and filing mail, organizing and maintaining physical files, and preparing FedEx packages
    
    • Scan, download, and save various documents and route correspondence into electronic files
    • Prepare, obtain signatures, and record patent related forms such as assignments with the United States Patent and Trademark Office
    • Perform word processing and Excel spreadsheet functions including documents, graphs, tables, and database retrieval
    • Handle other duties as assigned by immediate supervisor or IP Operations Leadership Team
  • Experience:
  • * Minimum 1 year experience in a legal environment (either law firm or in-house legal dept.)
    
    • Solid skills in Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Excel.
    • Ability to read, understand, and extract relevant information accurately from legal documents
    • Quick learner with confidence to ask questions.
    • Strong oral, written, and organizational skills with demonstrated attention to detail.
    • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
    • Demonstrates integrity and honesty in all matters
