Overview
Keenan & Associates seeks a Senior Contract Manager to join its legal department. In this role you will be focused on implementing best practices and encouraging innovation and improvements in the area of contract management. Your responsibilities will include management of Keenan’s contract database and library of template contract documents.
It is preferred this role be located in Southern California with the ability to be present at Keenan’s corporate office in Torrance, CA on a hybrid schedule. The position will work closely with and report to the Assistant Vice President of Legal.
What You'll Do
Please note that the duties below can vary based on the workflow of the legal department.
- Implement and promote contract management best practices.
- Maintain library of template contract documents.
- Oversight and management of contracts database.
- Provide support to Keenan business teams in completing standardized contract templates including service agreements, amendments, vendor agreements, business associate agreements, and other contract related documents.
- Provide contract support to the Assistant Vice President of Legal, including reports on contract documents as requested.
- Support proposal team in review of requests for proposals and other solicitation documents.
- Provide feedback on contractual insurance provisions in contracts in line with company insurance policies and coverages.
- Request Certificates of Insurance to comply with contract requirements.
- Comply with internal approval processes and ensure that all contracts meet company standards and expectations.
- Provide support around responses to public records and other document related requests.
- Work effectively with internal clients at all levels to meet company goals and objectives.
- Establish and maintain collaborative working relationships with the members of the legal department.
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple tasks.
- Able to prioritize tasks to meet deadlines on projects.
- Excellent oral communication and writing skills.
- Self-motivated, independent and able to handle time sensitive projects.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Excellent follow-up skills that drive to completion.

What You'll Need
- Bachelor's degree is strongly preferred but equivalent experience will be considered.
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience in either a law firm or corporate legal team, including significant experience in contract management.
- Experience with contract management systems.
- Strong desire to develop processes and procedures to solve contract-related challenges.
- Strong MS Office suite skills - Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.
- Experience in the insurance industry is encouraged, but not required.
- Experience with Salesforce is encouraged, but not required.
- Experience with SmartSheets is encouraged, but not required.

Compensation:
The target salary range for this position is $90,000.00 to $105,000.00 (US Dollar) annually. The actual salary will vary based on applicant’s education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted based on applicant’s geographic location. Hybrid work environment flexibility.
