Overview

If so, we invite you to join our team at Amedisys, one of the largest and most trusted home health and hospice companies in the U.S. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and executing payor contracting initiatives for a designated region(s) for health plans, health systems, ACOs, and/or other payors. This role collaborates and works closely with Director of Payor Contracting and RLT to define payor contracting priorities, review scorecards, etc.

Attractive Pay: $115,000 - $120,000K.

Responsibilities

 

  • Models contract proposals, drafts contract terms, reviews and make recommendations, negotiates, and finalizes new/renewed/renegotiated health plan, health system, ACO or other payor agreements.
  • Produces and reports on contractual performance. Provides subject matter expertise and educational tools to company locations regarding participation in payor programs.
  • Leads project management and ensures successful execution of projects for the payor contracting team including, but not limited to, payor contracting initiatives that are associated with global contract/coding updates and merger/acquisition activity.
  • Prepares and delivers educational materials regarding ACOs, PPNs, etc. to internal departments as deemed appropriate by VP of Payor Contracting and SVP Provider Services & Network Innovation.
  • Maintains relationships with vendors, payors, and other third parties in order to enhance strategic relationships.
  • Conducts market research to proactively identify risks/opportunities and update the contracting process.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in business or related field & 6+ years of relevant experience
  • Demonstrated knowledge of managed care, including managed Medicare and Medicaid, and other payor's guidelines and criteria for reimbursement.
  • Familiarity with insurance billing, coding and terminology.

Preferred:

  • Master's degree in business of related field
