Summary The CLE Manager is an internal CLE subject-matter expert, supervises CLE professionals, and works closely with these professionals and other Learning & Development team members in all offices to ensure that the firm maintains its accredited provider status in relevant jurisdictions and that firm-produced programs comply with applicable CLE requirements. The CLE Manager develops and refines relevant processes and procedures and serves as a resource for the Office of General Counsel and for team members who are responsible for ensuring individual lawyers’ compliance with applicable CLE/CPD requirements.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Maintain expert-level knowledge of CLE regulatory requirements for all US jurisdictions in which the firm has offices; serve as an internal subject-matter expert
  • Oversee the CLE accreditation process; review and analyze course materials and other program documentation to ensure compliance with accreditation requirements
  • Troubleshoot logistical or accreditation issues, continuously seeking process improvement with creative solutions
  • Maintain tip sheets and other training resources for firm attorneys and business professionals related to the CLE accreditation process
  • Collaborate with legal professionals and subject-matter experts to ensure that the firm stays current with CLE trends
  • Work with CLE team members to monitor the firm’s accredited provider status in relevant US CLE jurisdictions
  • Review and approve annual provider reports prepared by CLE team members for submission to US CLE regulators
  • Foster and help manage relationships with educational consultants, vendors, and outside CLE providers
  • Supervise, develop, and retain two CLE Coordinators
  • Interact with internal and external clients; provide accurate and high-quality service that meets the client’s needs
  • Standardize protocols and workflow
  • Create and develop internal reports and presentations as needed
  • Lead special projects and initiatives for the Learning & Development team as needed

New York Applicants (and roles reporting to New York): Salaries may vary by location. In New York, the estimated target salary range of this role is $147,000 - $160,000, in addition to bonus eligibility and a comprehensive benefit package. Salary determinations are made based on numerous factors, such as, but not limited to, the relevant market and the skill, experience, class or graduation year, and education of the selected candidate.

Education and/or Experience: Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of five years of prior work experience.
  • Familiarity or experience with California, Florida, Illinois, New York, Texas, and Virginia CLE rules and requirements, including reporting requirements for approved providers in those jurisdictions.

Preferred:

  • Familiarity with Micron CE Manager and various CLE regulator databases.
  • Law firm experience.
