We are currently seeking a staff attorney to join our McDermott Discovery Group to be based in Washington, DC, Miami, Silicon Valley or Chicago. The ideal candidate will have the background below.

Job Requirements:

  • Minimum of 4-5 years working in e-discovery, including substantial document review experience at all levels and phases of a project
  • Substantial experience working with and leveraging Relativity and other e-discovery technology tools to better manage, organize, and review data
  • Substantial experience analyzing and applying legal principles concerning HIPAA and privilege doctrines to discovery objectives
  • Experience managing multiple projects and working effectively within a deadline-driven environment
  • Possesses excellent written and oral communication skills and interpersonal skills, whether working independently or as a team member

License/Certifications:

Must be admitted to practice in the state in which you reside and must be one of the cities identified in this job description.

Other Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Experience in Intellectual Property litigation, including patent litigation, and patent prosecution preferred but not required
  • Experience working with TAR and other AI applications preferred but not required
  • Detail-oriented, with excellent organization and time management skills
  • Strong project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and to completion
  • Positive client service, results-driven attitude
