Legal.io is working with a leading fintech company seeking an experienced Corporate Paralegal for a 4 month contract to provide extensive support to the company's international corporate governance team. This is a fully remote position, full-time (40 hours per week), on a contract-basis with available benefits (health, dental, vision, 401k).

Scope of Work

Title: Corporate Paralegal (Secondment) Experience: 5+ Years Location: Remote (US) Hours: 40 Hours / Week Technology: Diligent Boards Duration: 4 Months (From 9/24/2024 until 1/15/2025) Pay Rate: $40 - $60 / hr

Job description:

You will help provide organizational and substantive support to the attorneys on the corporate team, will build new systems and procedures, and will work closely with a variety of partners internally and externally. They are looking for a highly adaptable, organized and self-motivated individual who can handle fast-paced projects independently.

You Will:

• Coordinate and prepare international subsidiary board and board committee meetings and pre-read deliverables
• Monitor and manage annual filings for our international subsidiaries.
• Help manage important transaction documents, including coordinating the review and execution of intercompany agreements
• Manage corporate records and help coordinate with finance and regulatory teams on various requests in connection with our periodic filings and regulatory examinations
• Manage special corporate projects, including new entity formation
• Help with the filing of registrations and similar documents with government agencies
• Work with our internal business, counsel, finance and compliance teams, as well as with external advisors and experts
• Manage projects effectively, with a team-oriented approach

You Have:

• At least 3 years of paralegal/legal project management experience
• In-house international paralegal experience (preferred)
• Experience working with Diligent (preferred)
