Overview: We’re on the hunt for a General Counsel, so if you’re in the market for a gig that’s both meaningful and a bit of a brain teaser, you’re in luck! Our operations span the globe and touch every state. We have a lot of legal work and some fun problems to solve. We seek someone who has started their career in a firm, ideally litigation, and then moved into the corporate side and spent 10+ years being the person making the decisions about all things legal. When we ask you to “share one of your proudest moments”, you don’t have to hesitate, and you’re likely already smiling at how you navigated challenges and outsmarted various entities. You don’t perceive yourself merely as someone confined to a desk; rather, you see yourself as a sharp and resourceful legal professional. You aim to be at the forefront when it matters most, reaching your objectives even in the face of challenges, regardless of their perceived size, because your intelligence sets you apart. You’ll be driving a lot of the legal decisions we make and ultimately a major part of those decisions. We’re not looking for a legal prep person to dump a legal brief on our desk and leave the decision in our hands. You’ll be a very trusted partner in how we grow and run our organization. We’re looking for someone to help us be as efficient as possible. Wage: Up to $250,000/year + relocation package. We are family owned and run, so there's no equity or bonus structure as part of the compensation package. Responsibilities:

• YOU make the decisions. YOU are the legal expert
• Legal planning and execution through creative means to continue to help our business scale
• Be nimble and quick on your feet when legal changes that will impact our business are coming. Plan for this
• Think past compliance to be more business minded and street smart when it comes to our legal
• Manage direct and indirect legal processes and communications as they arise
• Be able to communicate effectively your plans easily to team members outside of the legal space
• Avoid analysis paralysis

Requirements:

• Law degree with 10+ years of progressive legal experience
• Experience being the legal decision maker in regards to business decisions
• Live in or relocate to the Post Falls, ID area
• Be a good human
