Schedule: Monday through Friday, Full-Time

Job Description

We are seeking a friendly and organized Legal Receptionist/Assistant to join our office in North Syracuse, NY. This full-time position offers a pay rate of $20-$22 per hour and focuses on front desk responsibilities, administrative support, and assisting the legal team as needed. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for clients, managing phone calls, greeting visitors, and providing general office support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Greet clients and visitors in a professional and welcoming manner
  • Answer and direct phone calls, taking messages as necessary
  • Schedule appointments and manage the office calendar
  • Handle incoming and outgoing mail and deliveries
  • Assist with basic administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and document preparation
  • Maintain a clean and organized reception area
  • Provide support to attorneys and staff with clerical duties as needed
  • Communicate with clients and legal team to assist in scheduling and document handling

Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in a receptionist or administrative assistant role, preferably in a legal or professional services environment
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Highly organized with the ability to multitask
  • Professional demeanor and appearance
  • Basic understanding of office equipment (phone systems, copier, etc.)
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information

Additional Information:

  • Hourly rate: $20-$22 per hour
  • Full-time position, Monday through Friday
  • No prior legal experience necessary; training provided
