- Acts as a company advocate and advisor with respect to legal matters in one or more substantive areas of law.
- Interprets the intent of laws and judicial decisions and applies them to specific circumstances as applicable to company business.
- Communicates with vendors, customers and internal clients of the company and manages outside counsel with assistance with supervising attorney.
- Assists with the development of personnel and integration of company processes.
- Prepares and reviews SEC filings, including Forms 8-K, 10-Q, 10-K, section 16 filings and proxy statements and monitors updates on SEC rules.
- Ensures NYSE compliance.
- Coordinates, drafts and reviews board meeting documents and acts as a board liaison.
- Provides support for treasury, finance, management, and investor relations as needed.
- Monitors corporate laws and assists with shareholder engagement and other corporate responsibilities or projects as needed.
- Must adhere to a strict code of ethics.
Qualifications
- A Bachelors degree is required, while a Masters degree is preferred.
- Juris Doctor (JD) in law is required.
- 5+ years experience is required.
- Must be licensed to practice law in applicable areas.
