Job Title: IP Paralegal (Contract Position) Location: Remote

We are currently seeking a highly skilled IP Paralegal to join our team and provide comprehensive support to our client. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in intellectual property law, excellent organizational skills, and a commitment to delivering exceptional service.

Key Responsibilities:

5+ years of experience working in IP law practices, including within corporations and/or law firms. Together with IP attorneys, the Paralegal, will manage all aspects of preparing U.S. and foreign patent applications and filings, office action responses, as well as meet various deadlines within the firm. Utilize expertise in legal drafting for provisional patent applications and non-provisional patent applications. Monitor and maintain attorney(s) case dockets according to corporate IP legal strategy Experience and knowledge of global patent laws, treaties, and conventions. Monitor Trademark/Copyright Group’s centralized Docket email folder for receipt of docketing requests and United States Patent & Trademark Office (USPTO) correspondence. Utilizing experience in review of applications and related materials to make recommendations to attorneys, including reviewing documents for accuracy and completeness.

Qualifications:

Associate or bachelor’s degree in paralegal studies, legal studies, or a related field. Strong knowledge of MS Office Suite; Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel Experience with IP management technology Excellent clerical skills with attention to detail and the ability to work independently and proactively Excellent time management and organization skills in a fast-paced and dynamic environment Maintain the professional business image and demonstrate a high standard of professionalism, demeanor, and emotional intelligence High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and work experience. Bachelor’s Degree preferred Previous legal experience preferred, but not required
