As Manager, Contract Development within our Contract Development and Administration team, you’ll be part of the contract negotiation process that provides access to our products to millions of people.

Main responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the management and development of contract documents, as well as financial modeling and contract risk assessment analyses utilizing third party product data resources, to ensure achievement of corporate financial goals.
  • Support the implementation of product brand strategies to achieve formulary placement and reimbursement across payer customers.
  • Create situational analysis to evaluate pricing proposals by Account Management/Customers and provide financial and strategic recommendations/solutions for presentation to Pricing Committee.
  • Manage the timely development, negotiation and finalization of all contract documents, including financial proposal objectives/recommendations/assumptions and product terms/conditions, in partnership with Legal, Account Management and Customer.
  • Review, interpret, and assess specialty product reimbursement and utilization management criteria against pre-defined contracting objectives.
  • Cross-functional collaboration with departments (Legal, Market Access Leads, Brand Teams, Account Management, Finance and Strategic Pricing and Contract Management) and customers to assess contract risks, benefits, and compliance.
  • Maintain current master contract documents for assigned accounts.
  • Partner with Contract Operations team to ensure proper system set-up of pricing terms and accurate rebate payments.
  • Contribute to the development and evaluation of contract management process improvements.
  • Ad-hoc analyses and special projects as requested.

About You

Experience :

  • 3+ years pharmaceutical experience in Contracting, Pricing, Operations or other critical thinking discipline.
  • Managed Markets contracting knowledge is required with demonstrated understanding of pharmaceutical contracting.

Soft and technical skills :

  • Analytical skills and financial experience
  • Detail oriented with exceptional organizational skills
  • Auditable accuracy in work product
  • Excellent communication (verbal/written) and interpersonal skills
  • Experience in the management and negotiation of Specialty products
  • Experience in the review, interpretation, and explanation of product utilization management criteria
  • Must be able to work independently, initiate and carry out multiple contracting assignments until completion
  • Strong computer skills including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access

Education :

  • BA or BS Degree
  • MBA\CPA or equivalent business experience preferred
