The Citi Corporate Legal department seeks to fill an attorney role in the Technology Transactions team, within the global IP and Operations & Technology law group at Citi.

The role will work with business and function colleagues (Legal, Risk, Compliance, Finance, HR and Enterprise Operations & Technology) across Citi: e.g., Institutional Client Bank; Global Consumer Bank; and Corporate Functions, and provide a broad range of commercial legal support across Citi business areas, including: HR; Advertising & Marketing; Facilities; Travel; Technology; Hardware and Software; and Professional Services.

Key responsibilities:

Responsibilities include negotiating and drafting a wide range of general commercial contracts, such as technology agreements, outsourcings, other services arrangements and other commercial contracts, for North America and Global enterprise use. The primary focus of the job is on intellectual property agreements, including software licenses and SaaS/Hosted/Cloud-based services. Many agreements support global frameworks and require flexibility to adapt a global model to specific and varied local legal, regulatory and business requirements.

The role requires an enthusiastic team player, with strong relationship management skills and the ability to prioritize, multitask and handle a varied and demanding workload. The successful candidate will proactively work with business and function partners to engineer pragmatic solutions to a wide range of challenges, while balancing legal risks with commercial business needs.

Qualifications and Skills:

• JD required.
• Member of Florida bar in good standing or ability to become authorized in-house counsel within 6 months of joining.
• Minimum 7 years of proven general commercial transactional experience, with an emphasis on IP and technology transactions.
• Strong drafting and negotiating skills.
• Excellent interpersonal, problem solving, teamwork, organizational and analytical skills.
• Demonstrated ability to engage and complete transactions quickly and effectively, with minimal supervision.
• Experience in the financial services sector preferred.

Hybrid role, with 2 days in the Tampa office required. (No relocation assistance offered).

Primary Location Full Time Salary Range:

$169,040.00 - $253,560.00
