As a corporate paralegal you’ll support a group of attorneys in the Claims Legal Department. Our paralegals provide varied assistance, including but not limited to; litigation support, discovery assistance, subpoena responses, maintain monthly agendas for active cases and assist with determining next steps, create and maintain legal holds and legal research.
_This is a hybrid position with occasional travel to an office for meetings and/or training.
_ Must-have Qualifications
- High school diploma/GED equivalent or higher and a minimum of 2 years paralegal-level work experience.
- {OR} bachelor’s degree or higher or Paralegal certificate and a minimum of 1-year related experience in a legal environment.
Preferred Skills
- Strong communication skills that allow you to communicate, collaborate and serve as a knowledgeable legal resource within licensing, compliance, agent terminations, complaints, salvage/titling, concierge, insurance applications, cancellation/non-renewals, UM/UIM, recissions, SR22 & SR26 compliance, etc.
- Demonstrated ability to perform legal research; familiarity with electronic research tools such as PCI, Westlaw, LexisNexis
- Strong familiarity with all aspects of insurance defense or the claims litigation process, and solid knowledge of legal terminology
- Ability to operate a personal computer with a good working knowledge of the following software applications: Microsoft Word, Excel, SharePoint, and PowerPoint
- Experience with electronic discovery and with case management systems (i.e., Legal Tracker) and/or legal hold software (i.e., Exterro or Relativity)
Compensation
- $30.42 - $33.49/per hour depending on skills and qualifications
- Gainshare bonus up to 24% of your eligible earnings based on company performance
