As a senior IT contracts attorney in our Corporate Legal department, you’ll work closely with the procurement and sourcing teams to review, draft, and negotiate a variety of commercial transactions. You’ll address related legal, compliance and business matters while promoting and protecting Progressive’s legal and business interests.
Must-have Qualifications

Juris doctor degree or Master of Laws (LLM) and a minimum of five years of post-degree legal practice experience
Active license to practice law in at least one state
Active or Corporate license in state where working (or eligible to be)
Preferred Skills
- Extensive experience drafting and negotiating a broad array of commercial contracts, including sourcing and IT contracts
- Experience researching and addressing insurance/financial services regulatory matters
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills, including the ability to simplify and effectively communicate complex legal issues to business line stakeholders
- Ability and desire to work collaboratively, advocate appropriately in team settings, and influence and persuade team members and business partners at all levels tactfully and effectively
- Strong planning, prioritizing, and organizing skills, including the ability to effectively manage multiple transactions simultaneously and identify, mitigate, and resolve legal and compliance exposures
- Sound legal, analytical, problem solving, drafting, and risk assessment skills
Compensation
- $109,300 - $156,100/year
- Gainshare bonus up to 40% of your eligible earnings based on company performance
- Participation in our restricted stock units plan
