Job Summary

As a member of the Trade Compliance Team, you will work with external business partners to coordinate import and export transactions, follow day to day policy and procedures to facilitate customs declaration, maintain accurate records, audit transactions and support projects to achieve our corporate goals.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

  • Assign product HTS/ECCN classification for a diverse portfolio and maintain classification justification.
  • Coordinate with freight forwarders and customs brokers to troubleshoot, respond to inquiries and resolve problems impacting shipments.
  • Monitor, research and action Restricted Party List screening results of business partners.
  • Monitoring and maintaining trade compliance record keeping files.
  • Assist with the development and maintenance of policies, procedures, and processes; continuously working to identifying opportunities for optimization or automation.
  • Collaborate in the post-entry audit process, reviewing customs declarations for accuracy and compliance with import & export regulations, and coordinate post-entry amendments.
  • Support the development and implementation of various customs-related projects.
  • Review and prepare customs brokerage expense reports prior to submitting to Accounts Payable for processing of North America spend.

Education and Experience Profile

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, International, Finance, Accounting, or related field
  • Minimum of one (1) year working experience in global logistics, freight forwarding, or customs brokerage
  • Customs Classification (HTS) knowledge and experience preferred.
  • SAP S4/GTS experience is a delighter

Required Skills

  • Strong Microsoft Office Suite skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus
