Interprets federal and state laws, regulations, and orders as they apply to environmental practices. Implements policies and procedures to ensure that these practices are in compliance with the appropriate statutes and regulations and that reporting requirements are met. Ensures that inspections are conducted, corrective actions are completed on time, and all necessary documentation is kept. Investigate and resolve compliance problems, questions, or complaints received from within the company, customers, government regulatory agencies, etc. Develops and implements programs designed to increase employee awareness and knowledge of compliance policies. Audits and evaluates current policies, procedures, and documentation for compliance with government laws and regulations. Does not litigate.
