The Associate General Counsel will provide expert legal counsel to Banner Health relating to a variety of corporate matters. This position offers a great opportunity to collaboratively and strategically contribute to Banner Health’s mission of “Making health care easier, so life can be better.”
Candidates should have broad legal knowledge in the areas of health plans and networks, contracts , governance and regulatory, preferably with health care experience. A JD or LLB from an ABA accredited law school is required; 5 years law firm practice experience preferred.

Position Summary
This position provides legal support and advice, including interpreting laws, rules and regulations, advising company personnel, negotiating and drafting agreements and other documents, and monitoring laws and regulations affecting the company.
Core Functions
Minimum Qualifications
JD or LLB from an ABA accredited law school.
Bar admission and eligibility to practice in Arizona.
Five years experience as a practicing attorney.
A working knowledge of personal computers, including word-processing skills. Inter-personal and professional skills to provide legal services in a useful manner to those at all levels of the organization.
Preferred Qualifications
Eight or more years as a practicing attorney, including at least five years in a law firm setting.
Three years experience in health care law.
Additional Related Education And/or Experience Preferred.
