Job Profile
Position Overview
At PNC, our people are our greatest differentiator and competitive advantage in the markets we serve. We are all united in delivering the best experience for our customers. PNC has an opportunity for a Senior Regulatory/Transactional Counsel in Washington, DC, New York, NY, Philadelphia, PA or Pittsburgh, PA (additional locations within PNC's footprint may be considered).
The individual selected will be responsible for assisting internal business clients, risk stewards, auditors and other attorneys to understand the impacts of regulations, agency interpretations, and enforcement actions on their products and service as well as drafting and negotiating the economic sanctions, anti-money laundering, and export control-related provisions of deals and product and strategic partnership agreements.
The selected individual will work other lawyers in the PNC Legal Department who align against the product, service, or internal staff group at issue, as well as professionals from lines of business, compliance, and audit. The selected individual will have substantial individual responsibility for drafting and negotiating specific contract provisions in the context of large, complex, and fast-paced commercial transactions, often with the assistance of outside counsel. It is therefore necessary to be current on judicial and regulatory developments and Executive Orders relating to economic sanctions, export/import regulation, and anti-money laundering, as well as to have a keen sense of “market” terms in commercial agreements. A successful candidate will be able to issue-spot, effectively and efficiently dimension and communicate risks, creatively problem-solve, and draft and negotiate solutions that balance the various equities.
