We are looking for an international senior employment attorney to join the global legal team to provide world-class employment law support across our global organization. This position reports to the Director, Legal (Employment and Benefits). The successful candidate will be a subject matter expert in international employment law, with an ability to bring people and processes together.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Be a trusted legal partner and work collaboratively with relevant internal groups to navigate wide-ranging international employment related matters, including: hiring and recruiting issues; drafting, amending and interpreting country-specific employment related agreements; performance management; investigations; leaves of absence and workplace accommodations; employee benefits; terminations, position eliminations, and workforce restructuring activities; set up of entities in new countries; merger and acquisition matters; and general support of the global human resources team.
  • Partner with various internal stakeholders to determine strategy and approach in connection with merger and acquisition matters, the internal Investigations function, on global company-human resources related initiatives, and for global employment-related policies, guidelines, and processes, with an approach that balances pragmatism, risk, and compliance.
  • Ensure compliance with all globally applicable employment laws, regulations and policies.
  • Manage relationships with outside counsel on global employment related matters and educate clients and partners on global legal matters/developments, policies and procedures.

What We Need To See

  • Current member in good standing of the California State Bar
  • Law degree from top law school with excellent academic credentials
  • 8+ years of substantive employment experience with a corporate legal department and/or a nationally recognized law firm
  • Excellent written/verbal communication and negotiation skills
  • Excellent legal and business judgment and attention to detail
  • Highly motivated, independently driven, and good interpersonal skills, with a consistent track record of successful collaboration with cross-discipline and multi-functional teams that coordinate effectively across organizational boundaries and geographies
  • Ability to coordinate, prioritize and manage deadlines, workflow, and team execution in a fast-based and demanding work environment
  • Establish and maintain strong working relationships, credibility and trust with internal clients, customers, legal team members and other colleagues
  • Think creatively, function independently and work proactively
  • Ability to handle complexity and demands with a sense of urgency, drive and passion

The base salary range is 188,000 USD - 287,500 USD. Your base salary will be determined based on your location, experience, and the pay of employees in similar positions.
