Legal.io is working with a prominent fintech company to add an Employment Litigation Paralegal to its Legal team on a contractual basis. This is a fully remote, temporary contract engagement with an initial term of 3 months and the option to extend beyond that.

About the Job:

  • Process, research, manage and track all incoming litigation matters (e.g. demands, lawsuits and arbitrations); including: updating case files, assisting with case-related communications and invoice/payments, maintaining the litigation calendar, and other administrative tasks;
  • Implement litigation holds and ensure compliance with Company’s document retention policy;
  • Manage litigation and pre-litigation document request and collection and assist with discovery production (e.g. interrogatories, subpoenas and document requests);
  • Assistance researching, preparing, and presenting reports and presentations;
  • Track, research, and respond to employee inquiries directed to our internal team; and
  • General administrative support as requested.

About You:

  • Paralegal Certification and/or Bachelor's Degree
  • 5+ years of Paralegal experience (a mix of in-house and private practice experience preferred)
  • Prior experience with employment-related litigation strongly preferred, but not required
  • Experience with e-discovery, Macs, GSuite, Adobe, Microsoft Office, Salesforce and JIRA is preferred

  • Hourly Rate: $50 - $60 / hour ($100,000 - $120,000 annualized + full benefits)
