Job Description

Position Summary:

Reporting to the Senior Director, Associate General Counsel, the Manager of Legal Operations is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Legal Department, such as designing/selecting, implementing and maintaining optimal legal technologies and processes, deploying tactics to keep the legal team on budget, and providing outstanding customer support to incoming legal requests from the business. The candidate selected for this role will offer a deep understanding of the legal function and experience in the implementation of policies, processes and technologies to increase the efficiencies of the Legal Department and records management for the Legal Department, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Duties And Responsibilities

  • Track and route heavy volume of incoming legal requests from the business and manage lifecycle of legal requests through completion.
  • Design a technology and process strategy that streamlines legal workflows and maximizes efficiencies.
  • Oversee technology systems selection, design, and implementation for the Legal Department.
  • Manage the deployment and training across the company of new legal department technologies and processes.
  • Develop an electronic filing system with all company contracts and other important documents.
  • Manage the legal claims administration process and develop filing and tracking system for claims.
  • Draft routine legal documents using company approved templates, including contracts, agreements and correspondence.
  • Manage process for annual renewal of international distribution agreements.
  • Coordinate and manage legal vendor relationships, including outside counsel and other service providers.
  • Manage compilation of information for use in annual insurance renewal process.
  • Manage compilation of routine legal department information for quarterly reports.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Position Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Paralegal Studies, Legal Studies, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in legal operations, paralegal work, or a similar role.
  • Strong understanding of legal processes and procedures.
  • Proven experience in project management and process improvement.
  • Proficiency with legal technology and software tools.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certification in legal operations or project management (e.g., CLM, PMP).
  • Knowledge of compliance and risk management practices.

Additional Information

Cutera expects to reasonably pay in the range listed below for this position based on the city and state listed in the job posting:

Annual base salary: $140,000 - $160,000

The actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, education, and candidate residence if the position is remote or field-based. We reserve the option to pay above this range for exemplary experience or higher education.
