Essential Job Functions

The IP litigation legal analyst is responsible for managing all aspects of litigation cases, including management of documents on the DMS, preparation of filings, effectively manage case deadlines and filings. Accurately track court deadlines and related filings multi-tasking and prioritizing projects. Team oriented with a collaborative focus and bringing creative solutions to complicated litigation issues. The IP litigation legal analyst will assist with the implementation of best practices to align with the Firmwide Paralegal Program goals. A JD is required for this position.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (This list is not exhaustive and may be supplemented and changed as necessary.)

Manages Full Cycle Of Litigation Cases And Related Documents

  • Coordinates logistics and preparation of materials for Court filings, hearings, arbitrations, and trials
  • Ensure case related deadlines are properly identified and communicated to relevant staff and attorneys
  • Collaborate with attorney team to analyze case strategies and results to identify patterns and insights to apply to current case strategies
  • Reviews legal cites for proper format, content and standing (Westlaw, Lexis; Blue Book)
  • Fosters relationships within the Paralegal Program and related departments
  • Expert knowledge the federal rules of civil procedure, including, ESI, discovery, familiarity with local rules and standing orders in federal and state courts
  • Anticipate case needs and prepare team relating to the same

Qualifications & Requirements

_Education, Work Experience, Skills

_ The ideal candidate will possess 3-5 years of experience preferably in a law firm handling complex litigation, familiarity with electronic filing systems and court e-filing procedures. Candidates must have strong interpersonal and communication skills, project management, analytical skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Skilled in getting things done and overcoming obstacles to reach the goal, flexible in adapting to constantly changing priorities. The ability to work effectively in a team environment is required. JD is required. Flexibility to accommodate for travel and overtime is required.

_Technologies/Software

_ Proficiency Required In The Following

Pacer; E-filing (CM/ECF), Westlaw, Microsoft Office applications and iManage. Knowledge of Federal Court Rules.

Familiarity with the following: Litigation support systems including Relativity.
