D.R. Horton, Inc. is currently looking for a Paralegal for their Legal Department. The right candidate will perform and manage legal and accounting responsibilities of Acquisition Department. Support and coordinate Acquisition and Development Departments.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned:

• Prepare/draft contracts and amendments as necessary, including HOA covenants, conditions, easements and restrictions
• Prepare summaries of purchase and sale agreements for team distribution
• Prepare corp. contract package and process
• Process earnest money
• Prepare and process NOS package
• Process and manage land/lot takedown closings
• Submit weekly funding request
• Prepare/update weekly contract status report
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and yearly land/lot acquisition and funding reports
• Support development dept. with project management
• Prepare easements
• Review title, environmental, surveys, site plans etc.
• Seller/broker contact
• Research various legal issues as requested by local counsel
• Manage, organize, and provide oversight on a wide variety of contracts and projects

Supervisory Responsibilities

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Qualifications

Education and/or Experience

Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or three to six years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Annual Salary $70,000 - $75,000 (DOE) plus bonus potential
