Description
The Transportation Risk & Compliance (TRC) Operations Execution team in Europe is responsible for compliance of Amazon’s 3rd party Delivery Service Providers (DSPs) with wage standards, benefits, and minimum financial protection requirements as set by Amazon policy and/or in compliance with statutory requirements. TRC builds programs to assesses carrier compliance through audits/inspections, and drives transportation businesses to implement compliance solutions and mitigating controls through technology, detection and systematic enforcement of requirements. You’ll use strategic thinking to define and implement an efficient project plan. You’ll deal with complex challenges with creativity, innovation, and leadership. With a responsibility extending beyond process improvements, you could also contribute to improving other areas of the business, like diversity, equity, and inclusion.

The ideal candidate is a highly motivated self-starter that possesses flexibility and excellent judgment to work in a fast-changing environment managing ambiguous compliance matters. They will manage complex cross-functional projects e.g. monitoring and enforcement frameworks and other initiatives for multiple transportation programs. They will recommend program policies, processes, standard operating procedures, controls and mechanisms to mature compliance within legislative and regulatory mandates. They will be responsible for building strong partnerships with stakeholders and vendors. They will be a recognized business insurance compliance SME.
About The Team
The mission of the TRC’s risk management function is to provide proactive risk solutions for identifying and managing risk across Amazon’s transportation organization and supporting growth by aligning risk management with performance and objective setting. The vision is to provide the business with risk information to support fact-based decision making thus optimizing strategic execution.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $109,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
