Project Overview
Bechtel is a global engineering, construction and project management company that has “built the world” for more than 120 years, having constructed Hoover Dam, the English Channel Tunnel, entire cities in the Middle East, the second-largest solar thermal power project in the world, and millions of miles of roads and pipelines. Since June 2023, the Infrastructure GBU has begun to implement a system of controls and processes that will enable the GBU to compete for and execute work in the US and UK that is part-government funded and involves specific requirements relating to the definition and recovery of allowable costs, including overhead. Infrastructure GBU is seeking a candidate to serve as Government Compliance Manager, who will influence and direct the implementation and management of this system of controls and serve as the primary point of accountability for the appropriate levels of compliance in both US and UK markets.
Position Summary
This is a long-term assignment. Typical work hours are from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm Monday - Friday. This position is a full-time role that offers telework flexibility. Upon initial hire and onboarding, the position may require part time presence in a US Permanent Office (or otherwise agreed). Please be advised that the telework designation for the position may change in the future at the discretion of the Company or project.
Responsibilities
Primary accountability for developing and maintaining documented Infrastructure GBU US and UK compliance systems, processes, and applicable procedures that enable the GBU to meet contractual and legal requirements for pricing and recovering allowable incurred costs from government funded projects.
