Job Description:

This Renewable Fuels and Sustainability Attorney will work collaboratively with Teams and Leaders in Fuel Strategy and Management, Sustainability, and other departments and various stakeholders throughout the Company to support the Company’s sustainability and sustainable aviation fuel efforts. This Attorney will be responsible for negotiating, drafting, and reviewing complex commercial contracts, including Offtakes, Professional Services, Supply Chain, and other agreements. This role collaborates with Cohearts in our Legal Department on legal and regulatory issues related to sustainability and sustainable aviation fuel - including marketing, disclosures, and other compliance topics. This Attorney is passionate about Sustainability, is an analytical thinker with strong communication skills, and they’re ready to drive the future of Southwest.

Job Summary
Required: Intermediate level experience, expansive and far reaching knowledge as a licensed practicing attorney with a practice focus on corporate law and commercial transactions
Preferred: Experience with renewable fuels and sustainability related laws, regulations, and programs (including those related to climate change, carbon emissions, and carbon offsets/environmental credits)
Pay & Benefits
Competitive market salary from $161,500 - $175,000 per year* depending on qualifications and experience, with opportunity for future pay increases based on performance and market movement. For eligible leadership and individual contributor roles, additional bonus opportunities are available and awarded at the discretion of the company.
