Position Summary
The Compliance Lawyer will work alongside leadership and support Senior Management and the General Counsel’s office with engagement letter review and negotiation. This work involves interaction with the Firm partnership, Office of the General Counsel, and Compliance and New Business team in relation to review, collection, drafting and negotiation of engagement documentation including engagement letters, outside counsel guidelines, and framework agreements. The Compliance Lawyer is responsible for tracking and monitoring of pending engagement documentation and reviewing such documentation for compliance with applicable rules and regulations, Firm policy, and departmental processes.
The attorney is also responsible for reviewing and responding to inquiries from clients with respect to due diligence about the Firm and supporting the client audit and business development teams in providing answers to questions from clients about the Firm.
