Job Summary
The Senior Ethics and Compliance Analyst assists in the day to day responsibility for systematic assessment of ethics risks; interpretation and application of ethical standards; communication of corporate values and ethical expectations through effective training and awareness; monitoring of potential high-risk areas; and analysis of ethics activity to identify and report trends, including:
- Research issues and rules related to ethics to determine their impact on our Company
- Benchmark specific program elements and recommend improvements (e.g., codes, policies, processes)
- Assess the design and implementation of procedures, processes and controls to effectively mitigate ethics risk (e.g., conflict of interest disclosures including business courtesies)
- Gather and analyze data to measure the effectiveness of the implementation of the ethics program
- Manage projects by identifying needs, selecting potential solutions, developing plans and delivering results while maintaining project scope, cost and schedule (e.g., revision of the Code of Business Ethics and the Supplier Code of Conduct)
- Assist in the interpretation and application of Code of Business Ethics standards to specific business situations and advise management (i.e., primarily related to Business Integrity, Accounting and Financial Reporting and Misuse of Resources)
- Develop and provide effective communication to ensure timely and accurate information is shared with workers (e.g., implementation of a multi-year communication strategy)
- Prepare and deliver ethics related training and awareness material to address ethics risks
- Collaborate with internal project teams to produce change management plans to prepare the Company for new ethics initiatives
- Support administration of the Ethics Line and participate in the investigation process
Senior Ethics & Compliance Analysts are expected to possess subject matter expertise and develop advanced skills necessary to maintain a continuous focus on an organizational culture of compliance and ethics. In addition, they identify problems, develop solutions, communicate outcomes, take actions to mitigate ethical risks then monitor to ensure behaviors are not repeated. Employees at this level manage projects and initiatives with minimal supervision but are expected to pursue limited guidance for unusual or complex projects or issues.
Required/Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- In addition to bachelor's degree, four (4) years minimum of related work experience
Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience in ethics, or areas such as regulatory compliance, risk management, legal, audit, HR employee relations, human resources generalist or business partner or other relevant positions
- Proficient with Microsoft products such as Power BI, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Demonstrated leadership and communication skills through presentations and other formal mechanisms
- Ability to collaborate as an effective member of the team
- Strong listening skills
- Sound judgment and decision making skills
- Experience managing confidential information with a high degree of integrity
- Technical knowledge and work experience solving complex problems
- Excellent work product and attention to detail
Working Conditions
- Hybrid environment which will include prolonged sitting at desk or workstation, exposure to personal computer monitor, and frequent use of keyboard and phone.
- M - F, onsite approximately 2-3 days per week.
- Work environment requires the ability to work under time constraints and associated pressures.
