Description
Leidos is seeking a Law Clerk III to join our Washington, DC team. This is not a remote position. After approximately one month on the job, the selected individual must be able to work onsite at least 2 days a week in Washington, D.C
This position will work to develop and implement Office for Environmental Justice (OEJ) systems for handling public inquiries, inter-governmental inquiries, and information requests under the Freedom of Information and Privacy Acts. The position will directly interface with the OEJ Director and the OEJ Outreach Specialist to develop outreach and case materials for Department attorneys and professional staff. In addition, the position may be called upon to support the OEJ Director in providing Department leadership with recommendations on legislation, policy positions and public statements relating to environmental justice.
This position reports to the Director of the OEJ who assigns work and provides general guidance in terms of desired results. Assignments are typically completed with a high degree of independence and initiative. Completed work is typically evaluated by the Director for general effectiveness with respect to desired results and adherence to established policies. The Director may report on the quality of the Law Clerk III’s work. Guidance consists of precedents, statutes, the objectives and procedures of the Division, and the overall policies of the Department.

This position is covered under the Service Contract Act and is subject to minimum wage requirements as well as the minimum Health and Welfare benefit. Leidos will ensure that all provisions are met through their wages and benefits. The pay for this position will be $47.29/hr.
