Posted Feb 06 Full TimeHatboro, Pennsylvania Scott & Associates, PC, a multi-state legal recoveries law firm, is actively seeking an Attorney to join our Hatboro, Pennsylvania office. With a rich history dating back to our establishment in May 2000, we have grown to become a prominent player in debt recovery litigation, providing comprehensive solutions for major banks and creditors.
- This is a 'hands-on,' commission-eligible position. Commissions are based on attorney-negotiated settlements, and these bonuses are paid on top of the base salary listed.
Job Responsibilities:
- Review and approve collection claims placed with the Firm.
- Represent clients in civil collection matters within the state.
- Approve and execute pleadings for timely and consistent case progression.
- Maintain regular contact with courts, opposing counsel, and consumers for effective case management and resolution.
- Manage the docket, including trial preparation, claim prove-up, and post-judgment enforcement.
- Aid in the management and supervision of cases, including exception and queue oversight.
- Appear at hearings and trials throughout the state.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Currently licensed and in good standing with the PA Bar.
- Thorough understanding of Pennsylvania Civil Practice law.
- Dedication to operational excellence.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Disciplined work ethic.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, with an emphasis on Word and Excel.
- 1-3 years of experience in high-volume civil litigation practice (nice to have).
