Who We Are Looking For: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Vice President, Legal - Corporate who will report to the Assistant Chief Legal Officer - Corporate & Tax, which is one of the four groups within the Law Department that reports to the Chief Legal Officer. The Corporate & Tax Group provides sophisticated tax and corporate structuring advice for a real estate company targeting nationwide expansion over the next 5 years. Your role would be to utilize your skills and knowledge through the research and analysis of corporate laws, regulations, and judicial precedents to develop the optimal business and transactional structures to support the growth of the Company in collaboration with the other members of the Corporate & Tax Group.
Responsibilities: - Provide advice and legal guidance on a wide range of corporate-related matters, including business formation, corporate governance, contract matters, transactions, mergers & acquisitions, corporate planning, and corporate compliance matters. - Advise the company on the corporate implications of business transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, corporate reorganizations, and other financial transactions. - Stay updated on changes in corporate laws and regulations and communicate the potential business opportunities, operational adjustments, and other positive and adverse impact of these changes to the various legal and business groups within the company. - Collaborate with other professionals within the Corporate & Tax Group, the Law Department, and other business groups to provide integrated legal and business solutions. - Supervise junior counsel, providing support in their professional development.
