Northrop Grumman is seeking a Corporate Counsel – Employee Benefits, to provide legal support across a broad array of employee benefits matters. Reporting to the Assistant General Counsel, Employee Benefits, this position will deal with matters including qualified retirement plans (pension and savings/401(k)), health and welfare plans and arrangements, executive (non-qualified) plans, and plan assets (trust operations and investments). The plans provide benefits to over 200,000 participants, including approximately 97,000 active employees. The combined benefit plan trusts total approximately $70 billion.

Specific responsibilities include:
• Partner with multiple lawyers within the law department, as well as across the global company’s functional and operational leadership, including personnel in human resources, finance, strategy, benefits administration, and plan investment operations.
• Help lead the company in its compliance with employee benefits laws and regulations, and create solutions to mitigate legal risk.
