Job Description

We are looking for a new Contract Specialist to join our growing global team at Sectigo.

We are looking for an experienced Contract Specialist to join our team. The Contract Specialist will be responsible for managing the entire contract lifecycle, from drafting and negotiation to execution and compliance. This role requires a strong understanding of contract law, excellent negotiation skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with various departments to ensure compliance and mitigate risks.

This is a full-time and in-office position, working 5 days a week from our Cary, North Carolina office.

Here are the core functions, responsibilities, and expectations for this role:

  • Assist with administration of the organization’s contract management system, collaborate internally to establish workflows, review contracts for accuracy prior to execution and initiate contract execution via DocuSign.
  • Responsible for vetting initial contract intake from internal and external sources.
  • Review contracts to ensure necessary information is captured and required signatures included.
  • Review, revise, and negotiate a variety of contracts, including Nondisclosure Agreements (NDAs), Statements of Work, and amendments to Master Services Agreement, in accordance with Sectigo policy.
  • Address contracting questions and issues internally.
  • Track amendments to standard agreements.
  • Implement, coordinate, and assist with various contracting assignments, while contributing to the development and implementation of efficiencies to alleviate bottlenecks in the contracting process.
  • Prepare amendments, addenda, and contract extension documents.
  • Process requests for termination of contracts and prepare termination letters.
  • Responding to vendor diligence requests (security questionnaires, etc.).
  • Managing departmental workflows.
  • Other duties as assigned and related to the nature of this role and company initiatives.

Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent work experience is strongly preferred.

Experience

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in contract management is required. 2 to 5 years of experience is strongly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of contract law and legal terminology.
  • Prior Cyber Security paralegal experience is strongly preferred.
  • Depending on the regional requirements, Notary Public is a strongly preferred.
  • Current and prior service industry experience is strongly preferred.
  • Information Technology knowledge is a plus, but not required.
  • Program Management experience is a plus, but not required.

  • Excellent written skills and the ability to correspond and communicate with others clearly and effectively in writing. May respond directly on behalf of the attorney or manager without direction or instruction.
  • Excellent verbal and interpersonal skills and the ability to interpret information, answer complex questions and communicate in a professional, courteous, clear and concise manner.
  • Detail-oriented and self-motivated problem solver with strong organizational and analytical skills, demonstrating exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in work, and the ability to see several steps ahead and be proactive.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, ranging from intermediate to advanced levels.
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency with Adobe Acrobat DC, along with knowledge of Salesforce and DocuSign.
  • Demonstrated ability to juggle multiple tasks and competing priorities.
  • Ability to make decisions, take initiative, and prioritize workload to meet conflicting deadlines.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
  • A team player known to pitch in wherever help is needed and work with other teams to get the job done.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, deadline driven and global environment.
