Associate Attorney Responsibilities
- Assist in managing complex civil litigation projects from initial client consultation through trial, including case assessment, strategy formulation, and trial preparation.
- Support senior attorneys in drafting pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and other litigation documents.
- Participate actively in depositions, hearings, and trials, contributing to a robust advocacy approach.
- Collaborate with team members to analyze case issues, conduct legal research, and develop effective trial strategies.
- Communicate directly with clients to understand their objectives and provide timely updates on case progress.
- Help evaluate each case individually to recommend the most cost-effective and time-efficient resolution, whether through trial or alternative dispute resolution methods.
Associate Attorney Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school with admission to and in good standing with the Missouri Bar.
- At least 2 years of substantive litigation experience, with exposure to both trial and non-trial contexts.
- Strong legal writing, research, and oral advocacy skills, with demonstrated success in handling complex litigated matters.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment and maintain client-centric focus.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, essential for leveraging client interactions and collaborating within a tight-knit, results-driven team.
