
Associate General Counsel

Posted Apr 03 To strengthen our team, we are seeking a U.S.-based Associate General Counsel for a remote position. In this role, you will report directly to the General Counsel.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide legal support and guidance on a broad range of corporate matters including compliance, contracts, litigation, labor and employment, regulatory issues, and corporate governance.
- Collaborate with various corporate departments, manufacturing sites, and senior management to ensure that the company’s legal and regulatory interests are protected.
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, including commercial sales, supplier and IT agreements.
- Oversee and manage dispute and litigation matters, working with external counsel as necessary.
- Manage employment law matters, including internal investigations, employee relations and compliance with labor regulations.
- Advise on data privacy compliance, ensuring adherence to General Data Protection Regulation and other applicable U.S. and regional privacy regulations.
- Provide legal counsel on matters related to global trade compliance, including import/export regulations, sanctions, customs law and trade agreements and day-to-day legal advice to Industrial and Aerospace & Defense business segments.
- Support mergers, acquisitions, and corporate transactions, including due diligence and risk assessment.

- Advice on corporate governance, risk management and regulatory compliance issues, ensuring adherence to applicable laws and regulations.

- Assist with intellectual property matters, including the protection of patents, trademarks and copyrights, facilitating discussions with in-house engineering teams and outside counsel.
- Develop and implement legal strategies and policies to support the company’s growth and operations.
OUR REQUIREMENTS

Juris Doctor or equivalent law degree from a recognized U.S. institution

Active and in good standing with a state bar

7+ years of experience practicing law, with a strong preference for candidates with in-house experience at a manufacturing company

Strong understanding of corporate law, contract law, litigation, employment law, and regulatory compliance

Experience in managing and resolving complex legal issues and disputes

Excellent communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across departments and international teams

High level of integrity, professionalism and judgment in handling sensitive and confidential information
