Our client, a 200-attorney litigation boutique, is seeking an established and motivated eDiscovery Manager with a minimum of 7 or more years’ eDiscovery Project Management experience in a Big Law firm or peer litigation firm. This position requires an in-depth understanding of the litigation life cycle, eDiscovery technology and the ability to effectively manage technology, people and data effectively. High-level eDiscovery technical abilities, specifically related to Relativity and Brainspace (Reveal), LAW and NUIX, are required for consideration.
The eDiscovery Manager is responsible for designing, documenting, implementing and improving eDiscovery guidelines and best practices related to all aspects of the electronic discovery process, through each phase of the EDRM, including identification, preservation, collection, processing, analysis, review, and production of electronically stored information; Collaborating with legal teams and firm clients in (ESI) and recommending appropriate solutions related to these processes; Experience evaluating and recommending value added tools and eDiscovery platforms to the firm’s management and practice teams, required. Implementing and onboarding tools as needed and providing ongoing training and support to attorneys and clients is a key part of this role.
The ideal candidate will maintain current high-level knowledge and certification with relevant eDiscovery tools and provide recommendations and support for each. Knowledge of discovery-related legal rules, including FRCP and FRE is required. Additionally, eDiscovery-related certifications (RCA, CEDS), required. Expert level knowledge and thought leadership related to various aspects of eDiscovery, including analytics offerings and processes such as RAL, CMML, TAR and the ability to consult with clients and legal teams on use cases and practical application of each, is preferred.
JD and previous litigation experience is preferred. Superior written and oral communication skills, including the ability to translate complex technical requirements into simple concepts, tailored for varied audiences, is required. Compensation includes salary ($185K-$235K+), bonus eligibility and comprehensive benefits package.
