Position Summary We are seeking an entrepreneurial general counsel to join our founding team and contribute to our transformative vision. As General Counsel, you will lead and oversee the company’s entire legal function and play a critical role in strategizing and executing corporate development activities, including overseeing mergers, acquisitions, and other significant transactions. You will collaborate closely with the CEO and external counsel to ensure that the company’s best interests are consistently protected and advanced.

M &A Leadership

• Help us re-think how acquisitions get done in insurance.
• Operationalize and automate deal structuring, due diligence and partnership negotiations.
• Help us continue to build out and iterate on a constantly improving acquisition playbook.

General Counsel Duties

• Serve as primary legal advisor to executives and the Board.
• Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of contracts and agreements.
• Oversee compliance, regulatory matters, and governance policies.

Qualifications

• Experience in insurance highly preferred.
• JD from an accredited law school; active bar membership.
• 8+ years of experience in M&A transactions, corporate governance, and regulatory compliance.
• Proven leadership in managing complex deals and working directly with senior executives.
• Strong negotiation, drafting, and communication skills.
