What You'll Do

As a Claims and Contracts Management Specialist, you'll be at the forefront of our innovation, managing litigation and related matters for the company, assist in the negotiation and drafting of contracts, and manage other discrete matters handled by the company’s Legal Team. You'll collaborate with a diverse group of passionate individuals to deliver sustainable solutions to advance mobility, improve wellbeing and enhance modern life.

What We're Looking For

  • Assists senior Legal Team attorneys in directing strategy for litigation matters and other disputes to which the company is a party.
  • For filed matters, maintains responsibility for U.S. litigation discovery process, managing written discovery, document review and production, and overseeing electronic discovery procedures.
  • Oversees and directs the company’s response to all subpoenas.
  • Manages outside counsel to ensure implementation of strategy and monitors the progress of litigation matters, working at the direction of senior Legal Team attorneys.
  • Negotiates, prepares, and reviews sales and procurement contracts at the direction and under the supervision of senior Legal Team attorneys.
  • Cross-functional collaboration with Procurement and Sales teams to understand contract needs, goals, and risks involved.
  • Develops metrics to demonstrate performance of the Contracts team to ensure efficiency and identify improvement opportunities, providing necessary reports to senior Legal Team attorneys.

Skills That Make a Difference

  • Bachelor’s degree from four-year college or university and JD or equivalent law degree required.
  • 2+ years assisting in the handling of litigation matters and disputes at a corporate law firm or in-house corporate legal department, demonstrating a broad array of experience in matters affecting a large and diversified company.
  • Experience drafting and negotiating contracts.
  • Candidate must be able to work in a fast-paced environment to ensure that the company's litigation and contracts are managed in a timely and efficient manner that is consistent with the company's strategic goals.
  • Candidate must be flexible and able to work with multiple internal/external attorneys, sales professionals, and procurement professionals in multiple practice areas.
  • Fluent in oral and written English, and skillful in MS office (Words, Excel, Power Point, Outlook etc.).
  • Self-starter with highly effective organizational skills and ability to handle confidential matters.
  • Must be open and able to travel as needed to serve as company representative in litigation matters.
