Responsibilities :
- Advising on compliance with existing and emerging privacy law frameworks in the US
- Represent clients in privacy and data security litigation matters.
- Developing compliance plans and negotiating information privacy-compliant agreements.
- Handling regulatory investigations related to privacy and data security issues.
- Drafting and reviewing privacy-related agreements, such as data protection agreements and terms of service.
- Staying current with global privacy regulations and emerging trends in cybersecurity.
- Representing clients in negotiations and regulatory proceedings related to privacy and cybersecurity.
- Represent clients in privacy and data security-related disputes, including class actions and regulatory investigations.
- Manage cases involving data breaches, consumer protection issues, and unfair trade practices.
Candidate requirements :
- Minimum 5+ years of Data Privacy & Cybersecurity Law Experience
- Strong knowledge of existing and emerging data privacy and information security laws such as GDPR, CCPA, COPPA
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to lead and manage significant projects
- Tech fluency and understanding of cyber and privacy issues
- Client engagement and relationship-building skills
- Portable Business would be ideal but not a necessity
- Strong experience across investigations and discovery, pleadings, depositions, arguing motions and client communication
Certifications :
- CIPP/US, CIPP/E, CIPM, or other relevant privacy certifications are a plus.
- Candidates must be admitted in the state they reside.
